S23b: Green Chemistry in the Organic Chemistry Curriculum

Organizer: Loyd Bastin (Widener University, USA)

Presider: Loyd Bastin (Widener University, USA)

This symposium will highlight the incorporation of green and sustainable chemistry into the organic chemistry curriculum. Topics of particular interest include the incorporation of green/sustainable chemistry into sophomore organic chemistry lecture and laboratory courses, the design of organic chemistry laboratory experiments that incorporate green chemistry principles, the incorporation of green/sustainable chemistry into upper level organic chemistry courses, and the design of programs that integrate green/sustainable chemistry across the chemistry curriculum.
